“My recent visit to Tokyo for the Behold Investigator Meeting was a memorable experience.
As Principal Investigator for BEHOLD – 03, I was pleased to be one of three panelists in a discussion led by Jack J Chan on clinical trial design and the future of oncology research. We explored how clinical research challenges differ across countries and the importance of locally relevant solutions, regional collaboration, and robust trial designs to advance patient access to innovation.
Another highlight was the deeply insightful talk by David SP Tan, which enriched the scientific exchange.
It was wonderful to interact with leading oncologists, principal investigators, and GSK senior leadership, and to connect with Emily Hammatt, Dr Rebecca Phaeton, Neha Kamath, and Cynthia Chao Wang (APGOT).
A special personal highlight was meeting Reem Handforth – we both trained at The Christie NHS Foundation Trust under one of our favorites, Prof Gordon Jayson.
