“I am thrilled to announce the Frank Torti Endowed Professional Development Fund for Cancer Biology. The gift to honor the legacy of Dr. Torti, the founding chair of the Department of Cancer Biology at Wake Forest University School of Medicine, was provided by the Torti family. It will support attendance at a scientific conference of the selected students choice.
He was a huge advocate for student training, particularly in cancer biology. This is the first endowed award for students in the department, hopefully not the last. If you would like to honor Dr. Torti and grow the fund, reach out for information.”
