Sumanta K. Pal, Professor and Vice Chair of Academic Affairs at City of Hope, shared a post on X:
“So honored to have Stephen Chun deliver our City of Hope Grand Rounds today. An eye-opening talk titled ‘Developing a Prospective Clinical Research Program in an Integrated Academic Satellite Network’ – taking us on a journey through his work both in Texas and Hawaii. We learned that his grandfather, Dr. Thomas Lau, was a pioneer in oncology who brought cancer care to HI. Dr. Lau would be so proud to see what Dr. Chun is doing to expand care into broad communities!

An incredible array of studies that Stephen Chun has driven in the MD Anderson Cancer Center satellites. Publications in The Lancet, Journal of Clinical Oncology, JAMA Oncology, and more, with collaborations with Chad Tang, Albert Koong, Quynh Nguyen, and others.
Kudos on mentoring Chidinma Anakwenze Akinfenwa on the Winn Awards and keep up the terrific work on the NRG Oncology podcast – looking forward to your NRG Oncology podcast with Naoto T Ueno!”
