Stacey Tinianov, Founder and Executive Director at Advocates for Collaborative Education, shared Advocates for Collaborative Education’s post on LinkedIn, adding:
“Excited to hear from friend and super advocate Allison Rosen later today. Across our 200 and more Advocates for Collaborative Education membership, we have patient advocacy representation in four of the five oncology cooperatives including SWOG Cancer Research Network, ECOG-ACRIN Cancer Research Group, Alliance Clinical Network, and NRG ONCOLOGY.
While the cooperative groups all work a little differently, they are all focused on designing large scale, multi-site clinical trials to bring the latest in greatest (including therapeutics and diagnostics) to the oncology community. And they all include advocate voices.”
Quoting Advocates for Collaborative Education‘s post:
“Reminder:
Join us later today (5/5/26) for ‘Clinical Trial Cooperative Groups & the Role of Patient Advocates: Improving Relevance, Access, and Outcomes in Oncology Research’ where Advocates for Collaborative Education (ACE) member and SWOG Cancer Research Network advocate Allison Rosen will cover the topic of clinical trial cooperative groups, starting with what they are, why they exist and the role advocates play in the various groups. She briefly touch on the roles advocates play in these groups such as trials design, protocol development, consent and communication, recruitment and retention, and oversight and dissemination, as well as ways to get involved.
This is an ACE member event and all members have a calendar invite and link in their inboxes for this and all upcoming presentations.”
