“What does it actually take to translate the 90-70-90 targets for cervical cancer elimination into practice?
The global targets for cervical cancer elimination give us a shared destination. But countries are starting from very different places, with varying health-system capacity, infrastructure, and resources, as well as different barriers facing women.
That is why implementation matters. Screening coverage alone does not tell us whether women can move through the pathway to follow-up and care. Technology can help bring screening closer, but it cannot solve every access barrier. And as countries scale, implementation itself needs to become a source of learning.
