Investing in a comprehensive strategy that includes robust HPV vaccination, screening programs supported by high-performance tests (including innovations such as self-collection), and timely treatment is supported by strong economic and health evidence.
Prevention and early detection save lives and improve the efficiency of health-care spending by reducing reliance on costly late-stage treatment. Education, awareness, access, and prevention remain central to achieving the World Health Organization 90-70-90 targets and keeping countries on the pathway toward cervical cancer elimination.
