Smita Krishnaswamy: Proud to be Part of the Newly Funded CRUK Cancer Grand Challenge Team

Smita Krishnaswamy, Associate Professor of Genetics and of Computer Science, shared a post on LinkedIn:

“Proud to be part of the newly funded CRUK cancer grand challenge team REWIRE-CAN alongside colleagues Christopher Tape and Bart Vanhaesebroeck from UCL, William Sellers from the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard, Karuna Ganesh from Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, Vivian Li from The Francis Crick Institute, and Madelon Maurice from Utrecht University.

Our team aims to reprogram cancer cells into vulnerable states by disrupting their finely tuned ‘Goldilock’  level of oncogenic signaling.

This endeavor requires significant effort in hyperactivator development, in vivo and in vitro cancer models, perturbation experiments, computational analysis, phenoscaping, and trajectory inference.
