International Society of Paediatric Oncology (SIOP) shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Over the years, survival rates for childhood cancer have improved. But more is needed to ensure we cure more, cure better, and we tackle inequalities. Advocacy plays a key role in making this happen. It helps place childhood cancer on national and international agendas, shape policies, secure funding, and challenge inequities in access and standards of care.
Across the world, change is happening:
- Raising awareness in communities
- Engaging policymakers to prioritise childhood cancer
- Empowering patients, survivors, and families to take a seat at the table
Change does not happen by chance. It happens when people speak up, and work together.
What step will you take to strengthen advocacy? Make your commitment.”
