Paediatric oncology nurses play a critical role in improving outcomes and quality of life for children with cancer—often in challenging, resource-limited settings. Through the My Child Matters Nurse Projects Awards, SIOP, with the support of Foundation S – The Sanofi Collective, is proud to recognize and support nurse-led initiatives that strengthen care, empower families, and build sustainable capacity in childhood cancer services.
The programme provides funding and international visibility to impactful projects led by nurses who are driving change where it is needed most. Since its launch, My Child Matters has supported projects across multiple countries, contributing to better care and long-term improvements in paediatric oncology nursing.
New in 2026! This award cycle has been updated to include a mentored SIOP Nursing Science Fellowship program for nurses who are interested in taking a research idea to implementation and publication.
