“Some outcomes speak louder than any programme description.
Dr Maxime Frélaut, a past participant of the SIOG Research Masterclass shared how a project presented during the course went on to mature into a real clinical study. During the Masterclass in Paris, he refined his research question, clarified the target population, and strengthened the integration of frailty assessment into the study design.
Since then, the project has progressed to regulatory submission, with patient inclusion planned to start this year.
This is the kind of impact the SIOG Research Masterclass aims for. Not just learning concepts, but helping research move forward in a way that is meaningful for older adults and sustainable for long-term work in Geriatric Oncology.
