Standard mammography, including digital breast tomosynthesis, is frequently limited by low sensitivity, which can drop as low as 10% to 30% in patients with dense breast tissue. 8,11-13 Breast ultrasound serves as a valuable supplementary tool, demonstrating an improved sensitivity and assisting in the evaluation of dense tissue and palpable abnormalities.”
