“New Research Blog from the Society for Integrative Oncology
The Society for Integrative Oncology (SIO) is proud to be a partner in the Implementing Massage and Acupuncture to Achieve Better Pain Management in Oncology Care (IMAGINE) project, a 4-year initiative funded by the Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI).
Our latest blog, ‘Why Oncology-Specific Training Matters: Advancing Safe and Effective Acupuncture in Cancer Care,‘ examines the importance of specialized oncology training for acupuncturists working with people living with and beyond cancer.
The IMAGINE Project is currently implementing evidence-based acupuncture and massage protocols across 35 academic and community cancer centers in the United States—helping bridge the gap between research and clinical practice.
As integrative oncology continues to expand, so does the need for clinicians with oncology-specific expertise to ensure safe, high-quality, patient-centered care.
