“What is the incidence of tumor in pazients with primary immunodeficiency?
The response is from this Italian retrospective study: out of 4,540 patients with PID, 248 developed malignancies (5.5% incidence) witha rate of 3.4 cases per 1,000 person – years. Common variable immunodeficiency represented the largest PID subgroup and showed the highest prevalence of malignancy 11.7%.
Non-Hodgkin lymphoma (21.7%), skin cancers (11.2%) and gastric adenocarcinoma (10.4%) were the most frequent cancers. The overall 10-year survival rate was 94%. primary immunodeficiency tumors.”
