Simon Khagi, Medical Director of Neuro-Oncology at the Hoag Family Cancer Institute, shared a post on LinkedIn:
““Another conference, another waste of time” at the 30th annual Society for Neuro-Oncology conference in Honolulu,Hawaii.
That may have been my reaction, but it wasn’t
Because:
- Catching up with colleagues from across the country makes it you feel like you’re part of a community!
- Watching my mentee (Sam Kim MS5 University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Medicine) give an invited talk made me super proud of him and my school!
- I was an invited speaker at Novocure Japan 🇯🇵 and had the honor to meet Japan’s top neurosurgeons! We had robust discussions on combinatorial immunotherapy in brain cancer
- …and presented multiple abstracts that highlighted collaborations with UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy, @enz Biopharma, Inc, and ImmunityBio, Inc.
I’m already looking forward to next year’s event!”
