“Keeping an Open Mind in Modern Medicine.
Today I came across something interesting while treating a patient with Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma. She had persistent warts, and to my surprise, a Siddha preparation – ‘Wart Clear’ – actually worked for her.
As clinicians, we often tend to dismiss traditional or alternative systems of medicine because they may not fit neatly into our evidence-based frameworks. But occasionally, in real-world practice, we witness outcomes that remind us to stay humble and open-minded.
What impressed me most was that this product transparently listed its contents – a gesture toward safety, accountability, and standardization that we always hope to see in complementary therapies.
While modern medicine remains the backbone of oncology care, integrating safe and rational elements from other systems like Siddha or Ayurveda can sometimes offer additional benefits for patients. Collaborative, patient-centered care is always greater than working in silos.
At the end of the day, if something is safe, transparent, and benefits the patient – it deserves acknowledgment.
