Shweta Maniar: Honored to Join the NFCR Global Summit to Discuss AI and Cancer Detection

Shweta Maniar, Global Director of Healthcare and Life Sciences at Google, shared a post on LinkedIn:

“We are at a historic tipping point where artificial intelligence is moving from a theoretical tool to an active catalyst in the fight against cancer. I am incredibly honored and excited to be a featured speaker at the National Foundation for Cancer Research (NFCR) Global Summit on October 9th at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C.!

I will be participating in the session on AI and cancer detection, discussing how we are leveraging advanced computational models, machine learning, and cloud infrastructure at Google Cloud to accelerate oncology research, streamline diagnostics and bring life-saving therapies to patients faster.

Beyond the technology, this event is deeply personal for me because of the chance to support my dear friend and trailblazer, Dr. Sujuan Ba. Sujuan’s relentless dedication to bridging the gap between laboratory research and commercial oncology entrepreneurship is nothing short of inspiring. Under her leadership, NFCR and the AIM-HI Accelerator Fund are actively funding the future of cancer cures. What better way to spend a day!

There is a profound responsibility that comes with applying AI to the life sciences, and I can’t wait to dive into these critical conversations alongside fellow leaders, researchers, and pioneers.

You can view the full agenda and join us here.”
