Shrenik Shah: A Voice Isn’t Made of Vocal Cords — It’s Made of Purpose

Shrenik Shah, Patient Ambassador and Moderator of Fridays with Shrenik Live webinar at the Indian Cancer Society, shared a post on LinkedIn:

“When cancer took my vocal cords, I thought it had taken my identity too.

But what I lost in sound, I found in meaning.

29 years later, to see my journey featured by CancerWorld, a global platform that amplifies stories of courage and medical progress, feels like coming full circle.

From being told I’d never speak again to addressing audiences across the world, my journey has been about one truth: A voice isn’t made of vocal cords. It’s made of purpose.

In this feature, I’ve shared what it means to rebuild your voice, with technology, faith, and willpower as your allies.

I’ve also spoken about the realities of cancer treatment in India, and how purpose can outlive pain when you choose to speak through your silence.

Grateful to CancerWorld for capturing my story, and to every patient, doctor, and survivor who reminds me that resilience is the most powerful sound we can make.”
