Shrenik Shah: Words Don’t Need Vocal Cords, They Need Conviction

Shrenik Shah, Patient Ambassador and Moderator of Fridays with Shrenik Live webinar at the Indian Cancer Society, shared a post on LinkedIn:

“Some moments remind you that your story has truly travelled full circle.

This Saturday, during the International Association of Surgical Oncology (IASO–NATCON 2025) conference in Goa, my cancer surgeon Dr. Kaustubh Patel, featured my journey on the main stage.

Seeing my name, my journey, and my voice projected in that hall felt surreal.

Because it was in an operation theatre years ago that my voice was taken away.

And now, that same story was being shared by the very person who helped me live again.

From that silent moment after my surgery… to 9000 hours of talks using an electrolarynx, 6 TEDx stages, JOSH Talk, and twice being featured at Times Square, this journey has never been about losing a voice, but about finding purpose through it.

Gratitude to every doctor, mentor, and audience who believed that words don’t need vocal cords, they need conviction.

Because sometimes, life doesn’t come full circle.

It comes full voice.”
