“Running Toward Hope – Memphis to Peoria
For almost 10 years, I’ve had the privilege of working at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. I’ve watched families walk through some of the hardest days of their lives, and I’ve watched them find hope because of the care, research, and compassion St. Jude provides.
That’s why the 465-mile journey from Memphis, TN to Peoria, IL means more to me than just miles on a map.
For 3.5 days, I’m out here running my part, about 30 miles total, spread across the relay. (Don’t worry, I’m not personally running all 465 miles) Somewhere in Kentucky, it really hit me that these miles aren’t just miles. They’re reminders of why we run, why we fundraise, and why the St Jude Mission of curing kids with catastrophic childhood disease matters.
A single donation becomes something incredibly real for a child who needs it:
- a pint of blood for a child undergoing treatment
- meals for a family focused on fighting for their child’s life
- research hours that push cures forward
I’ve seen firsthand how much these moments matter, and I’m still working toward my fundraising goal.
If you’d like to help me close the gap, you can donate here.
Thank you for cheering, donating, sharing, and believing in this mission. Your support truly carries me through every mile, even the ones where I question my life choices.”
