At just six years old, Kai was diagnosed with cancer. Three years later, the cancer reoccured. While these experiences brought immense challenges for him and his family, they also shaped his commitment to making a difference for others impacted by cancer.
Today, Kai serves as a Legislative Ambassador with ACS CAN Minnesota, turning his lived experience into advocacy and helping advance policies that improve the lives of people facing cancer.
During Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, we’re proud to recognize Kai as our September Volunteer Spotlight. His story is a powerful reminder of how resilience, hope, and advocacy can drive meaningful change.
