Shane Jacobson: ACS and NFL Continue to Expand Access to Cancer Screening Through Crucial Catch

Shane Jacobson, Chief Executive Officer of the American Cancer Society (ACS) and American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network (ACS CAN), shared a post on LinkedIn:

“Teamwork win championships! Our team spent time today with National Football League (NFL) leaders discussing real and life-altering impact through our ACS-NFL Crucial Catch partnership.

In the last 18 years, Crucial Catch-supported sites:

  • Helped support more than 840,000 cancer screenings
  • Reached millions of fans with education about early detection
  • Generated more than $35 million to expand access to screening

This partnership creates awareness and new resources that elevate access, which is where real change happens.

We will improve outcomes if more people can get screened and more people follow the American Cancer Society screening guidelines.

This partnership is about closing gaps by directly funding high impact action in communities across the country. And we’re just getting started.

We appreciate the NFL’s commitment – and thank you to Anna Isaacson, Christina Hovestadt, Marisa Mooney, Caitlin Moran, Clare Graff, Brooke Burgess and your teammates for hosting us for a very productive meeting.”
