Shane Jacobson, Chief Executive Officer of the American Cancer Society, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“I’m full of gratitude this season for the remarkable people I’ve had the opportunity to cross paths with, build relationships with, and work alongside during my first few months with the American Cancer Society. Everyone has a story to tell and a unique passion that inspires their drive in our collective effort to end cancer as we know it.
From Hope Lodge visits and the halls of Congress to ballrooms and boardrooms – I’m truly thankful for every opportunity to spend time with team members, volunteers, donors, advocates, and partners.
Just last week, we held our ACS and American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network (ACS CAN) Board Meetings in Ohio, where we met and had a chance to meet with our incredible Area Board, tour Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center-James Cancer Hospital and Solove Research Institute, and hear from ACS-funded researchers about the impact funding has had on their work.
Thank you to everyone who has brought hope, insight, and camaraderie to all of these moments.”
