Shane Jacobson: 10 Years of Impact at the ACS Salt Lake City Hope Lodge

Shane Jacobson, Chief Executive Officer of the American Cancer Society, shared a post on LinkedIn:

“We’re celebrating 10 years of impact at the American Cancer Society Salt Lake City Hope Lodge!

With 41 guest rooms, the lodge has already provided nearly 5,000 free nights of lodging this year – offering comfort, connection, and a home away from home for people with cancer and their loved ones during difficult times.

Thank you to the Salt Lake team for the warm welcome and chance to learn more about your culture, impact, and goals.

And many thanks to everyone who attended the anniversary luncheon last week, took time to speak and share your story, and participated in our open dialogue about what ACS means to you.

Both the luncheon and much of the lodge’s impact are because of ACS Board Members and devoted volunteers, Katie Eccles and Angela Dumke. Katie and Angela, who co-chaired the luncheon, helped fund, design, and bring to life the Salt Lake City Hope Lodge. And to this day, they continue to pour so much time and heart into ACS‘ mission and the community.

Katie and Angela, we are so grateful for your commitment and leadership!”
