Shaban Juma, Founder and Executive Director at Cancer Fight Tanzania, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“I am deeply honored to have been part of the Organizing Committee for the 3rd Tanzania International Cancer Conference (TICC 2025).
This conference was more than an event, it was a platform for collaboration, innovation, and hope. To contribute both behind the scenes in organizing and up front by presenting my research findings was a privilege I’ll never forget.
A few thoughts I’m reflecting on:
Enormous gratitude to the Tanzania Oncology Society and all partners for trusting me with responsibilities on the committee.
Thankful for the opportunity to share my research and engage with colleagues whose work continues to inspire me.
Encouraged by the quality of discussion, the openness to new ideas, and the genuine desire across disciplines to improve cancer care in Tanzania.
Motivated to translate what was presented, learned, and discussed into action, better diagnosis, treatment, prevention, and research collaboration.
To everyone who attended, supported, organized, or contributed in any way, thank you. Looking forward to what comes next as we collectively work toward reducing the burden of cancer in our country and region.”
