“One of my absolute highlights at ESMO25 was finally meeting Prof. Fatima Cardoso, an inspiring leader and one of the world’s foremost experts in breast cancer.
Having followed her impactful work for years and recently interviewing her online about the upcoming Advanced Breast Cancer (ABC) Conference in Lisbon this November, it felt truly rewarding to meet her in person.
I also attended her session, “MSD – Future Directions in HR+ Breast Cancer: Evolving Treatment Strategies.” As a first-year oncology fellow, witnessing such forward-looking discussions led by pioneers like Prof. Cardoso is deeply motivating.
