Seong Chi: ASCO 2026, a Platform to Reconnect and Brainstorm

Seong Chi, Associate Medical Director at Scientific Advocacy and Professional Societies, AbbVie, shared a post on LinkedIn:

“What a packed ASCO 2026! Already on to my next meeting in Stockholm, but finally a minute to recap.

The conference was filled with valuable data and numerous meetings with leaders from patient organizations. We had a great discussion with Jenny Myers Ahlstrom and her team at HealthTree Foundation about the innovative work they are doing for persons with Multiple Myeloma. curehub

I also had the pleasure of connecting with patient thought leaders like Valarie and Thomas, who continuously help ensure my work remains impactful by guiding each step. Andrea Ridenour, a seasoned leader across various tumor types, including MM and breast cancer, has been an inspiration to me ever since her time at the Colorectal Cancer Alliance.

Oya and the Health, Hope, Hip-Hop Foundation are making advocacy personal and culturally relevant, blending expertise and art to create classics. healthhopehiphop

I must acknowledge Ashley, Andrea, and Christopher for their efforts in educating and bridging the gap between research at the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation – MMRF and the wider community.

ASCO serves as a platform to reconnect and brainstorm! It was wonderful to meet a longtime friend now with a new organization, Jessica Tamasi from NP/PA Engage.

Also had a chance to attend the OncoDaily Grand Rounds at ASCO 2026 event. Thanks Emma Tadevosyan for the invitation and the warm welcome!

The conference also provided opportunities to meet new individuals and organizations dedicated to advancing science and improving therapy implementation. It was a pleasure to connect with the Cancer Hope Network and Beth Blakey. A true honor to connect with longtime inspiration, Marielle Santos McLeod, MHA, whom I’ve followed since her leadership against CRC at Colorectal Cancer Alliance. CCAalumni

What a legacy of leaders the Colorectal Cancer Alliance has!

Special shoutout to my team, who woke up all thinking the same thing, our mission to do the right thing for patients is the only thing black and white. Only our suits are grey. We may have different shades, different perspectives but the same goal. Wendy (in the first HealthTree picture, second from the left) keeps us honest.

What a photo haul, but as I reflect in this quiet moment, staring into the emptiness, I regret not capturing a photo with all the other incredible groups I met, but please know your work is truly appreciated!”
