In my recent talk with Dr. Robert Weinberg during the ‘Hallmarks of Cancer’ seminar series, I asked for his advice on mentoring the next generation of scientists.

He offered valuable advice, saying that real breakthroughs require more than technical skills and that trainees should think independently.
