Sendurai Mani, Associate Director of Translational Oncology, Dean’s Chair of Translational Oncology, and Professor of Medicine at Brown University, and Co-Founder and CSO of Iylon Precision Oncology, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“The Hallmarks of Cancer Seminar Series.
I recently launched a seminar series titled ‘The Hallmarks of Cancer.’ Bob Weinberg, my postdoctoral mentor at Massachusetts Institute of Technology/Whitehead Institute and co-author of the original Hallmarks of Cancer papers, inaugurated the series, drawing over 500 registrants from around the world.
Our next speaker is Doug Hanahan (April 3), who co-authored Hallmarks of Cancer I and II with Bob Weinberg and later published Hallmarks of Cancer III and IV.
We have an exciting lineup ahead: Charles Swanton (May 8), Titia de Lange (August 7) and Tyler Jacks (December 4).
Through this series, I aim to bring together pioneers and educators whose work has fundamentally shaped our understanding of cancer. These sessions are designed to be philosophical, historical, and forward-looking, with a particular focus on trainees and early-career scientists.
Talks will also be shared on TheHallmarks.com and the Hallmarks of Cancer YouTube channel as a lasting educational resource.
First Friday of each month at 9:00 AM (EST), with some exceptions.
Looking forward to the conversations ahead. Register for the next seminar.”
