Scott Campbell, Director of Patient Advocacy, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“An exhausting but exhilarating first half of June at ASCO and EHA.
The science continues to move at an incredible pace, and it’s inspiring to see so many advances with the potential to improve the lives of people living with cancer.
What energizes me just as much, though, is spending time with the patient advocates and community leaders who are helping shape the dialogue around these innovations – and who are determined to overcome whatever barriers stand between patients and progress.
After more than 20 years in oncology, these meetings are also a reminder of how fortunate I am to reconnect with friends, mentors, and former colleagues. Those relationships remain one of the most rewarding parts of the work.
Now, after a busy few weeks of travel, I’m looking forward to being home and enjoying the final days of the school year with my daughters.
Grateful for the people and purpose that make this work so rewarding.”
