“The 25th Annual Zubrod Memorial Lecture and Awards Ceremony brought together Sylvester researchers, clinicians, trainees and students to celebrate the discoveries, mentorship and innovation advancing the future of cancer care.
This year’s keynote lecture was delivered by Dr. Charles Sawyers of Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, whose groundbreaking work helped transform the treatment of leukemia and prostate cancer.
The event recognized outstanding faculty, trainees and mentors whose work is advancing cancer research, education and patient care across disciplines. Among the honorees, Dr. Michael Antoni received the Lifetime Achievement Award for his pioneering contributions to psycho-oncology and survivorship research. His work helped establish the scientific foundation linking stress, immune function and cancer outcomes.
