“I’m very pleased to welcome Kyaw Lwin Aung to the Gastrointestinal Medical Oncology program at Miami Cancer Institute, Baptist Health South Florida.
Dr. Aung brings outstanding expertise in pancreatic and hepatobiliary cancers, along with a strong background in translational science and early-phase drug development.
His academic journey spans several leading international centers. Dr. Aung completed a PhD in circulating tumor DNA at The University of Manchester, followed by advanced clinical and research training in Phase I oncology drug development and gastrointestinal cancers at the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre, Toronto. Prior to joining us, he served as a faculty member at Dell Medical School at The University of Texas at Austin.
As we continue to expand the GI oncology program at Miami Cancer Institute, Dr. Aung’s expertise in translational research and early phase clinical trials will be instrumental in advancing our efforts.
Welcome to Miami, Kyaw-we are excited to build impactful clinical and research programs together!”
