Samyukta Mullangi: 4th Annual Tech Innovations in Community Oncology

Samyukta Mullangi, Medical Oncologist at Tennessee Oncology and VP of Clinical Strategy at OpenEvidence, shared a post on LinkedIn:

“Excited to invite Nashville friends to the 4th annual ‘Tech Innovations in Community Oncology’ conference on April 7, 2026 at The Joseph Hotel.

Larry Bilbrey and I are co-hosting again this year – last year’s conference featured some of the most interesting and frankly, candid conversations about the rapidly changing technology landscape in oncology – and I think this year’s agenda and speakers are outstanding!

The meeting will feature a keynote presentation by Amy Gleason – who is the head of HHS’s technology efforts and acting administrator of DOGE (her work around creating a universal and portable patient identity across health systems is so cool), and three panel discussions all addressing the role of tech, especially AI, in managing and treating cancer patients today.

Panel discussions include:

AI and Clinical Tools such as CDS, Clinical Trials, and Precision Medicine – moderated by me.

  • Featuring Andrew M. Ibrahim MD, MSc, CMO of Viz.ai – a company that uses AI to automatically detect, analyze, and triage acute medical conditions, like strokes and PEs, in real time from scans.
  • Alan Tan, MD, oncologist at Vanderbilt and VP at Tempus AI – a precision medicine company that has launched AI tools to be a clinical interpreter for patients.
  • Janet Moga, director of digital health partnerships at AstraZeneca.

Practical Application of Technology to Improve Workflow – moderated by Natalie Dickson.

  • Featuring Prabhjot Singh, MD PhD Singh, the CEO of Altitude Health – a company looking to expand the clinical workforce by empowering APPs with AI copilots.
  • Scott Voigt, SVP of Thyme Care – a value-based care enabler looking to support oncology practices and use a variety of behavioral design features within technology to influence patient journeys.
  • Larry Bilbrey, one of the architects of OneOncology’s and Tennessee Oncology’s data/ AI efforts.

Physician Experiences Leveraging Technology for Patient Care – moderated by Kate Baker.

  • Featuring Bon Ku, program manager of ARPA-H – the federal agency that just launched an RFP to assess for AI companies to launch clinical agents that can fully practice medicine autonomously.
  • Arpan Parikh, MD, MBA, FAPA Parikh, founder of Kin Health, a company looking to create AI clinical companions for patients going through cancer.
  • Casey Chollet-Lipscomb, MD, FASTRO, CMO Tenn Onc.

Dinner will be served as well. If you would like to attend, please go to this registration.

It will be really fun and thought-provoking. Please reach out with any questions, and sincerely hope to see you there!!”
