“A must watch discussion by Meredith Regan in the metastatic breast cancer session. No, we can’t declare a ‘new standard of care’ based on exploratory analyses of dubious intermediate endpoints… however there is clearly a need for useful intermediate endpoints as we try and get the balance of speed and certainty right.
Catch up Meredith’s great discussion online to learn about some potential solutions: time to first subsequent treatment (TFST) or time to second subsequent treatment (TSST) are clearer, but these too require rigorous validation on an individual patient level.”
