Sally Wolf, CEO and Founder of LightWorks, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Today marks 8 years of living with incurable cancer. The day got away from me, but I still wanted to pause, honor it, and share some of the biggest lessons I’ve learned:
- Life often offers opportunities beside the obstacles
- We don’t need to figure everything out on day one
- While ‘after’ may not be the same, it can be better
- Sharing our vulnerability creates deep connection
- Small steps forward look bigger as we reflect back
- Meaning is ours to make and strengthens resilience
- If probability fails to inspire hope, possibility remains
- Challenges help shape us but don’t need to define us
I’ll stop here for now, one for each year.
Given my plan to live to 88 (knock wood!), I’m certain this list will grow considerably. (One of the clearest lessons: there is always more to learn!)
Curious which resonates most with you right now? Or what you might add?”
