Sahar Mansour, Professor of Radiology at Kasr Al-Ainy Hospital, Cairo University, and Consultant of Breast Imaging and Intervention at Baheya Charity Women’s Cancer Hospital, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“The last event of 2025 carried unique meaning for me. It brought together two extraordinary women who shaped both my early education and my professional journey:
- Mrs. Nawal El Degwy, Chair of Dar El Tarbya Language Schools, the high school I graduated from.
- Prof. Maha Helal, my mentor and professor at National Cancer Institute, Cairo University who taught me everything and guided me throughout my career.
Together, we celebrated the inauguration of a new AI-powered GE HealthCare Middle East, Turkey & Africa ultrasound device at Breast Cancer Screening Unit of NCI. This milestone will expand access and improve care for breast cancer patients.
For me, this was more than a medical advancement. It was a deeply personal moment where my past and present converged: the foundation of education that opened the door to medicine, and the mentorship that continues to shape my path united in service of women’shealth.”
