Saad Nadeem: Democratizing Access to Digital Pathology Worldwide

Saad Nadeem, Associate Member at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, shared Tempus AI’s post on LinkedIn, adding:

“My lab is excited to lead this effort from Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, as a founding member, to democratize access to digital pathology worldwide.

Building on our work in this space (DP4ALL virtual slide scanner, DeepLIIF universal IHC quantification, and Project MONAI engagement), we look forward to working with Razik Yousfi (Tempus AI) and our Open-source IMS Consortium partners to accelerate digital pathology adoption and clinical translation of research tools.

This is an important first step for companies/institutions to develop, deploy, validate, monitor, and disseminate clinical AI solutions with standardized APIs and workflows. We will be announcing the details soon for engagement with this initiative!”

Quoting Tempus AI’s post:

“Together with Yale New Haven Hospital and Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, we are pleased to announce the launch of a digital pathology IMS Open-Source Consortium.

Designed to accelerate the democratization and standardization of digital pathology, the consortium aims to bring together leading academic medical centers and industry partners to develop a best-in-class open-source digital pathology platform and viewer.”
