Rwanda Biomedical Centre shared a post on X:
“As part of Rwanda’s Mission2027 to eliminate cervical cancer, RBC, in collaboration with partners, conducted a 5-day specialist cervical cancer treatment camp at Muyumbu Health Center and Rwamagana Level 2 Teaching Hospital.
The camp brought together Rwanda-n and international gynecologic oncology experts who provided specialized care to 190 women with cervical conditions and provided hands-on training and mentorship to 12 Rwandan healthcare professionals. The camp was part of a broader two-month cervical cancer screening campaign in Rwamagana District, which screened 50,808 women. Those who tested positive for HPV were linked to appropriate management and follow-up.
