“For the past 10 years, I have received over 40 awards and recognitions from mostly international organisations and foreign governments for my work in amplifying the voices of cancer patients in Nigeria and pioneering work in oncology in Africa. For this reason, it’s always exciting to get a recognition at home. More exciting that this award from a hardworking group of youth cancer advocates, clinicians and health professionals- OncoBridge Foundation .
In my estimation, cancer control should be everyone’s business, if we don’t do this work for our communities, ‘Who will do it for us?’
Thank you very much Dr Maurice Johnson and OncoBridge Foundation for this honor. I It means a lot to me. Let’s do more.”
