“I’m humbled to share that I was nominated as Miami University’s Graduate nominee for the Ohio International Consortium (OIC) Outstanding International Student Award.
Each year, Miami’s International Student and Scholar Services nominates a single PhD student for this honor, recognizing excellence across scholarship, research dissemination, teaching, and community leadership. The award reflects the spirit of Ohio’s New Americans initiative: celebrating international students who thrive academically while weaving themselves into the fabric of their campuses and communities.
The OIC includes: Bowling Green State University, Central State University, Cleveland State University, Kent State University, Miami University, Ohio University, The Ohio State University, Shawnee State University, University of Akron, University of Cincinnati, University of Toledo, Youngstown State University, and Wright State University.
I’ve always believed that I’m here to compete with myself: relearn, unlearn, and go around the circle again through research. I do not ‘teach’ my students; we learn together with so much love, while helping them earn the honor they deserve. I am Love And Honor.
It’s impossible to achieve this feat alone. My deep gratitude to my adviser, Prof. Saruna Ghimire for her intellectual support and guidance; to Dr. Danielle Hart-Westbay (Associate Director of Graduate Student Career Development) for her career support; and to my student, Erica Foster, for a heartfelt letter of recommendation.
