“So excited to see Julie Gralow, the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) CMO in Abuja for the Best Of ASCO in Africa, speaking on how to ensure that innovative oncology medicines & technologies are translated in Africa.
ASCO annual meeting is the largest and one of the most prestigious oncology conferences in the world. Every year, scientists gather to share newest discoveries, innovative practices and how to improve care for cancer patients. Sadly, traveling to Chicago for many people is expensive and not many can afford it. Hence, the insights and results from ASCO are relatively not ‘globally’ disemminated. The Best Of ASCO closes that gap. Bringing these ideas, innovation and technologies closer to Africa and many other regions.
Congratulations to AORTIC– Africa for this huge milestone. Special thanks to Dr Abiola Ibraheem and her SIG for the leadership. Special thanks to Arise TV and many other media who supported this efforts. Special thanks to all the scientists from across Africa, America and other regions who attended the summit in Abuja.
Thanks to Project PINK BLUE team and patients who were on ground to volunteer and support the Best Of ASCO. As usual, I made sure that patients are involved, not to come and share their stories but as active speakers and leaders in their care.
See you all next year. African is not only ready, Africa is leading actions.”
