“Heading home from Washington, DC with hope.
Honored to represent South Carolina and the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) advocacy at the One Voice Against Cancer Grassroots Lobby Day, joining advocates from 34 states and 50+ organizations united to advance cancer research and prevention.
Together, we met with lawmakers to advocate for sustained federal investment in:
- NIH
- NCI
- ARPA-H
- CDC cancer prevention programs.
As a community oncologist serving rural South Carolina, I see every day how research funding and prevention programs translate into real hope, longer survival, and better care for our patients.
It was inspiring to meet so many new friends and fellow advocates, united by one voice against cancer.
Thank you to One Voice Against Cancer and ASCO advocacy for your leadership and continued support in advancing cancer research and prevention.
Grateful to represent South Carolina alongside Anna Lonon and Carly McCallie.”
