Standing with Ross Camidge in His Lung Cancer Battle

Drew Moghanaki, Professor, Chief of Thoracic Oncology at the Department of Radiation Oncology and Stanley Iezman and Nancy Stark Endowed Chair in Thoracic Radiation Oncology Research at David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA, and Chief Medical Officer of Respirati, shared a post on X by Stephen V Liu, Director of Thoracic Oncology, Chief of the Division of Hematology and Oncology, and Associate Professor at Georgetown Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center, adding:

“It is saddening, frustrating, and infuriating that this cancer is now coming for one of our greatest lung cancer researchers.

We have got to keep the research throttle wide open until we get to a day when no one dies of lung cancer. Complacency is NOT an option. The community is heartbroken and with you, Ross.”

Quoting Stephen V Liu ‘s post:

“One of the biggest influences on my career is Dr. Ross Camidge – a mentor and friend, an intellectual giant in the field of lung cancer who was diagnosed with this unforgiving disease himself.

We are all at risk – and must all work to move the field.”
