“Cancer care can be a significant financial burden, for both patients and families.
That’s why organizations like Gilda’s Club KC are so important. They provide services to cancer survivors and their families completely FREE.
Gilda’s Club offers classes, healthy lifestyle programs, support groups, and, most importantly, a community for anyone with cancer (and their loved ones) at any stage.
Their services are rooted in empirical and clinical research, and led by professionals.
And it’s all provided at no cost to participants.
I had the opportunity to serve on the Gilda’s Club KC Board for three years. This is an organization that does so much for cancer patients and their families, and I’ve witnessed their direct impact with many patients that I’ve treated.
If you’re looking for ways to support those impacted by cancer, I highly recommend getting involved with Gilda’s Club KC, or the Gilda’s Club in your city.
Of note, one of their annual fundraisers here in KC is a dinner/auction event called Hob Nobbin’ at the Hobbs, which will be on October 9. It is a very fun event and for a great cause.”
