Ronald Chen, Professor and Chair of the Department of Radiation Oncology at the University of Kansas Medical Center, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“$559,333 was raised for American Cancer Society’s Hope Lodge Kansas City at this year’s Shave to Save event!
This funding helps provide free lodging and support for cancer patients and caregivers. Talk about an incredible impact.
And the fact that we had two shavees from the The University of Kansas Health System family – Jack Beal and Dr. Raghu Adiga – made it even more special. They were the top two shavees, collectively raising more than $135,000!
Thank you to Hope Lodge and everything you do to support cancer patients and their families. You help make cancer care more accessible to so many.
And thank you to all the shavees, donors, sponsors and supporters who help make Hope Lodge’s work possible.
I loved attending the event alongside other faculty and staff from The University of Kansas Cancer Center Department of Radiation Oncology.”
