“I give my personal email address to all my cancer patients. While it’s not common practice, it’s something that’s important to me.
I want my patients to know they can reach me, directly, whenever they have critical questions. While patient portals are important, I know how comforting it is for a patient to have the opportunity to talk to me directly. It’s something I’ve been doing since the beginning of my career.
A simple practice that has always made sense to me.”
