“Medical conditions don’t stop for the holidays.
Which means staff members don’t either.
There’s everybody from the cleaning crew to the front-desk staff, from the nurses to the medical assistants, from physicians to advanced practice providers and residents and fellows, who are caring for patients every single day of the year.
Including the holidays.
So as we head into the Thanksgiving holiday — and the entire holiday season — I want to say thank you.
Thank you to the staff members who are spending the holiday gathered around a patient. Who are showing up with heart every single day. Who are filling the halls of The University of Kansas Cancer Center with holiday spirit.
Thank you for all you do. It doesn’t go unnoticed.”
