“Congratulations to PICI researchers Robert Vonderheide and E. John Wherry on their leadership appointments at American Association for Cancer Research.
Vonderheide, director of the Abramson Cancer Center Clinical Research, has been named 2026-2027 President Elect, and Wherry, co-director of the PICI Center at University of Pennsylvania’s Institute for Immunology and Immune Health (I3H), will serve on the AACR Board of Directors from 2026 to 2029.
Both researchers are continuing to help shape the future of cancer research and immunotherapy.”
