Robert Plenge, EVP, Chief Research Officer at Bristol Myers Squibb shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Some visits stay with you longer than expected.
Two weeks on, I’m still thinking about my time at our Bristol Myers Squibb Research site in Sevilla, Spain. The Center for Innovation and Translational Research in Europe (or CITRE, as we call it) has been a vital part of our Research organization for 15 years. Our CITRE scientists help bring innovation to life by:
- Advancing patient‑centric translational models and biomarkers.
- Enabling data‑driven decisions across more than 60% of global early hematology oncology research programs.
- Serving as a gateway to European academic collaboration and talent.
From poster sessions to flash talks – including two excellent Research Town Hall presentations by Hannah Pliner and Maria Dolores Jimenez Nuñez – I was struck by our CITRE scientists’ passion, ingenuity, and dedication to patients.
If you’d like to learn more, I encourage you to read the El Mundo article linked in the comments, which perfectly captures the value CITRE brings to our Research organization and our commitment to breakthrough science.”
