In our latest Real Cancer Talk: Community Conversations, I joined Miss Community Clovia Lawrence and clinical social worker Freda Wilkins to discuss the emotional highs and lows cancer can bring—whether someone is newly diagnosed, in treatment, surviving, or caregiving.
We talked about how disrupted routines, treatment-related fatigue, grief, and well-intentioned comments can add stress and why support matters most when it’s practical and specific. Simple shifts, like offering concrete help or asking, “How are you feeling today?” can make a meaningful difference.
