New ACS guidelines now support HPV self-collection as an acceptable screening option and provide updated guidance on when screening can safely end.
This is more than a guideline update, it’s an opportunity to expand access, reduce disparities, and accelerate progress toward cervical cancer elimination.
The question now is implementation.
How do we, as researchers and clinicians, ensure these advances reach the populations who need them most?”
